We have carefully explored matte paper as an alternative. While its low-reflective surface is excellent at minimizing glare and excessive shine, we found that it also softens the extraordinary depth, vibrancy and richness of our highly detailed colour palettes.

For Golden Swan Idyll, colour is an essential part of the experience. The interplay of warm light, vivid nature, deep shadows and subtle tonal variations is what gives our artworks their immersive and idyllic character. Matte paper can diminish some of that visual depth, making the artwork feel less alive.

For this reason, we favour a premium semi-gloss finish, allowing our colours to retain their brilliance, depth and luminosity while maintaining an elegant and refined appearance.
