Nobody remembers exactly when the name Mr. Apples became official. Perhaps it was the morning he escaped his pasture for a fallen apple, or the autumn when he somehow discovered the orchard before the family did.

What everyone knows is that Mr. Apples absolutely loves apples.

Every harvest season, while the others fill baskets, he patiently searches beneath the trees for the finest fallen treasures. The family pretends to stop him, the children encourage him, and the dog seems convinced that supervising the entire operation is his responsibility.

Over the years, his little obsession became part of life on the farm. Apple harvest simply wouldn't feel the same without Mr. Apples wandering beneath the trees, hoping that just one more apple might fall.
