In the heart of a flourishing fantasy kingdom, there is one day when castle gates are left wide open, market stalls overflow with food, musicians fill the streets with songs, and nobody asks whether you are human, elf, dwarf, orc, tiefling—or something considerably more unusual.

It is simply known as the Feast of a Thousand Friends.

Around them, enormous platters overflow with freshly baked bread, fruit, cheeses and roasted delicacies. Musicians play among the crowds, horses wait patiently beside colorful festival tents, and far above the celebration, a dragon glides peacefully between magnificent mountain peaks.

For one golden afternoon, there are no rival kingdoms, ancient grudges or heroic quests to complete.

There is only good food, ridiculous stories, overflowing mugs—and the wonderful realization that paradise becomes much more interesting when everyone is invited.
