The Hidden Lake

There is no sign pointing to this place. You find it by following an old forest path between the birches and pines until the trees suddenly open — and there it is.

A quiet Swedish lake, clear water, sun-warmed rocks and a little red cottage watching from the opposite shore. 

Friends swim from the rocks while a small boat drifts across the still water, carrying two fishermen who seem in no hurry to return.
