Once, there were two swans.

They glided across this peaceful lake together, side by side, through golden summers and silent winters. They built their nest among the reeds, explored every quiet bay, and returned each evening to the same peaceful place where the water turned to silver beneath the setting sun.

For years, the lake was their world — and they were never alone within it.

But one spring, when the ice had just begun to melt and the forest was awakening with new life, tragedy came.

One of the swans disappeared and never returned.

For days, the remaining swan searched the lake. It followed the familiar shoreline, drifted between the islands and called softly across the still water, waiting for the silhouette it knew so well to appear again.

But the lake remained empty.

And eventually, the swan understood.

Now, it remains alone.

Still, every evening it returns to the places they once shared. It glides along the same peaceful waters, rests beside the same flower-covered shore and watches the sun disappear behind the forest just as they once did together.

The world around it remains extraordinarily beautiful — perhaps even more so because every corner of the lake carries a memory.

There is sadness in its solitude, but there is also peace.

The swan does not abandon the lake because it lost the one it loved. Instead, it continues living among the places that made their life together beautiful.
